July Holidays

On the second week of the holidays I was back with my mum in Otaki and we just stayed here the whole second week of the holidays. Our friends that met at Vinegar hill camp were coming down from Whanganui Phoebe, Tho, Maddie and their mum Ellie. When they arrived it was night time so we just ate dinner and desert and went to bed. Me and Phoebe were sleeping upstairs and we were the only ones up there so we stayed up until midnight. The next morning was very chill all we did was go on our phones and eat breakfast until 11:00 am. At 12:00 am we had some lunch which was pizza and chips then at 2:00 pm went out to town and looked at clothes.

Maddie wanted to get a helix which is a piercing at the top of your ear so we went to Hipsta for kids in Waikanae and got a helix. "Off to get Fish'n'Chips now" said my mum as we drove to the fish'n'chip shop, when we got home we ate food and desert then Phoebe, Maddie and I had a spa then went on our phones, ate skittles then went to sleep. The next morning we ate breakfast and played a game of last card then they went on there way to Pamerston north.

Matariki

                                                         How to find the Matariki

To get to the Matariki cluster you have to find the Mahutonga (southern cross)  then go east untill you find Hinetakurua / Winter maiden (brightest star in our sky). Once you find that you keep on going along untill you come across three dots in a row that is the Tautoru (Orions belt / bottom of a pot) wich will then take us to where we need to go wich is to Te Matakaheru (Stars that make a Triangle shape). Just off of it's shoulder you will see a small cluster of stars and that is the Matariki.

Star names and what they are connected to.
