Curious cove camp- Challenge 6

 My favourite thing about camp was going on the hike to Motuara island and Ships cove. It was so much fun Walking to the waterfall and finding crabs at ships cove, I also liked looking at the cannon.

I didn't really enjoy/ my east favourite part of camp was probably how long breakfast and dinner took because they took a long time. I also didn't really enjoy how much it rained and I wish it was sunny when we went but sadly I couldn't change that.

Board game- Brain Masters

On Monday Last week (16th November 2020) our class got into groups and we had to make a board game. I was in a group with Dayna, Selena, Ella and Tara, our game was a game of dares I guess you could say. It was pretty easy to make and the rules were easy to follow and understand. We made counters got two dice and made a board to play on, The counters are made out of two pieces of card and sellotape. We got given a list of what needed to be on our board game, the list is- 

-Give your game a name

-Instructions are simple and easy to follow

-Rules are clear for the players to understand

-Equipment is listed for your game

-Game presentation looks 100%

-Is it Fun

-2-6 players

-The game must be ready to play on Friday 27/11/20.

Our game turned out really well and I am proud of what we did!

What I want to be in 10 years time

 In ten years time I want to be working with the police department because it looks and sounds fun. I think it would be good for me as well, even though it would take a lot of training I would still want to do it.

Managing self form

 I am fine with the managing self form because it asks good questions and they are easy to answer. 

One Thing I Learnt In Te Reo

One thing I have learnt this week is how to count higher than ten in Te Reo.

I think that it would be in the maths curriculum area because numbers usually relate to maths.

The thing that I learnt was how to count higher than ten in Te Reo.

It could help with understanding some other things and more Mōari.

I can apply it to when I meet some Mōari people and in class.

What I have learnt this week

One thing that I have learnt doing DARE is that there are different stages of drugs, stage A, B, and C. The drugs in C are the one that aren't so bad, B are the ones  that are kinda bad and A are the worst.

One thing that I have learnt about Kaitiakitanga is that it means like guardianship, management, protector and other things. 

I think I have achieved all the ROAR in class because I have been doing my work, staying on task, I have been listening to the teacher and wearing the correct uniform etc.

I do enjoy epic because it is fun and if you can't be bothered reading you can just listen to someone reading it to you.

Environmental Issue

 W.A.L.T- find an environmental issue we are passionate about

My environmental issue that i'm going to talk about is global warming, I have chosen this issue because I would like to learn more about it. I am working with Dayna because she is my friend, she wants to do that same environmental issue as me and because she is a good person to work with. The environmental issue that I have chosen is an issue because the weather is getting hotter because of our green house gases and it's messing with the ozone layer and making it thinner. The thinner it gets the less it protects us from the sun and the hotter it gets, which means the water levels are rising because the icebergs are melting in the antarctic. Some poor animals have to live in hotter weather than they are use to and are finding it harder to do heaps of stuff.

            

My Goals

Active Learner

In class I would be on the correct site and doing my work that I would be set to do.

I would be quiet and not be distracted by anyone or anything in the classroom.

This goal is important because otherwise I would get no work done.

2021 Profile

Kia ora koutou, my name is Eden.

I am 13 years old and my favourite colour is blue or purple, I am in Mrs Loorparg's class.

One of my favourite subjects is Maths, Ctg (wood works) or English.

My least favourite subject is Science.

I like to go to the beach and hangout with my friends.

Science

Today we lit a bunsen burner, when the collar was open it went orange, when it was closed it went blue. First we put on the safety glasses then we lit the match, turned on the gas and lit the gas, it was so cool.

Algebra

W.A.L.T- use in algebra the order of operations 

This week I have learnt that in algebra we use letters like x and y instead of an empty box. We use a letter instead of a box because it's easier to write and say then saying or writing empty box especially if there is for than one empty box. Here's an example      x-6= 9    or   y+4=12

Holidays 20/07/20

W.A.L.T- Inform our audience

     It was the second weekend of the holidays and I just got back from my dads on the Monday. When we got home I sorted out my room and times to hangout with my friends, I had plans for the whole week apart from Sunday. Monday night I just chilled in my room watching movies, Tuesday Morning I woke up and waited for Dayna to arrive. When she got to my house we went down to the beach then we scooter-ed into town got lollies and went to the park. We then got bored at the park so we went back home and went on our phones, we had dinner then went to bed. 

     The next day we went to Paraparaumu, sadly our car battery was flat but luckily a bus was coming in 5 minutes across the road. We caught the bus into town then me and Dayna went into the mall, first we wandered around then we went to pac'n'save and got some snacks. After getting the food we sat down and ate some then we went into the movies and watched Trolls On Tour, it was a great movie. The movie finished so we went into animates and looked at fishies while my mum was in her eye appointment. When she got out we went and got new clothes for me then we went on the train to Waikanie and my brother Sam drove us home from there. Dayna went home after that and i just chilled for the rest of the night.

     On Thursday my friend Shayne from Shannon came over and we just chilled for the day and went down to the beach. Friday came around so fast and we went to my netball training at 11:00 am, when I finished netball we went to get my other friend Nikaia. So in that short time we had because Nikaia had netball training at 3:00 and it was 12:45 we went to the forest and just had a couple swings on the tyre swing. After all that we dropped Shayne home then went to Nikaia's netball training, all we did was walk to a players house then we did half court.

     Netball training finished so we went home and watched some crack up movies, it was 11 pm and we forgot we had to get up at 7:30 am so we went to sleep. In the morning we got up and got ready for our game, we were versing each other in netball! The game was really good but the score was 9-14 to them but I did really enjoy it, we left after that and took Jordan to his job he had to do. Once Jordan was at his job Nikaia, my mum and I went to Porirua to go to adrenaline forest as an early birthday gift. We were so excited, when we were up it started spitting but it was fine but there was this on zip lining kinda thing but u had to hold onto a bar and it was so slippery.

     When we had finished we got pizza then went home, I had a very great time with her. Sunday was the most boring day in the world, first we went to our friends house but they're like old people. We then went to see the lamb that was born at my step dads house (that was kinda boring but cute as), we took Jordan to another job then I went with my mum to her work which was hella boring. That night I made the best of the last day of holidays then in the morning I came to school.
