Long Weekend

     The day has been celebrated since 1788, when Governor Arthur Phillip declared a holiday to mark the birthday of the King of Great Britain. Until 1936 it was held on the actual birthday of the monarch, after King George V died it was decided to keep the date on the second Monday in June. 

     On the long weekend I went to Napier to see our friends, the drive was long and boring but in the end we got to Waimiramar beach. When we arrived we walked down to the beach to see Chris and Jules on the jet ski, it turns out when they were bringing it in it got stuck. Well the jet ski didn't get stuck the truck got stuck in the sand because the sand was really soft.

     The truck tires were half way stuck in the sand and the water kept on getting in the truck because Chris needed stuff out of it. With the help of some kind people we got the truck out and went back to the beach house. Chris cleaned the truck and jet ski quite well while we ate marshmallows and bacon and egg pie inside. We went back to Havelock north and got ready to go out for dinner. 

     Everyone was ready so we left, I can't remember the name of the restaurant we went to though. We all had a great night then went back and slept until the next day, Sam left kinda early and it was raining so we didn't do that much stuff. When it stopped raining we went down to the river and rode the jet ski, then Chris accidentally sucked rocks up the motor. All of us left and went home then chilled for the rest of the day, that night we watched a family movie then did a puzzle.

     In the morning we just packed and did a couple of things around the house then left, I hated the drive but it wasn't as bad as going there. I got my stuff out of the car then went inside to hang out with Nikaia because she came over. We dipped random stuff in chocolate and ate it, we did weird yoga poses then watched You Tube. After we dropped Nikaia home we picked Jordan up then I went to bed.
